Interim Time Is Go Time

By Jonathon Vogel

There's moments in life you arrive to that become transition seasons between different chapters of your life. You learned, grew, and healed and are now ready for the next chapter, BUT… Something holds you back. God seems to keep you in a holding pattern for the time being while He gets everything else ready for you. This is where I find myself today.

I am waiting for the next page of the next chapter of my life to turn. I've been through a ton of healing, inner alignment, and purpose work. I know what not to focus my heart on and what to treat as tools in my tool belt instead of goals to pursue. He's preparing me for something big, and in the meantime, I need to steward what I have and wait for His increase He has promised me.

Do you relate? I can often confuse this time of waiting for stagnation, when in fact, it's up to me to show up to the waiting with joy and patience, instead of indulging in impatient behavior, grasping too early at what I want. The problem is, if I arrive to what I want too early, it's not a blessing. I have noticed a great maturation in surrendering when and why to God. His timing is better than mine.

What I'm Doing in the Meantime:

Sometimes the waiting can be long and painful, but the moments of transition between different chapters of your life make you ready and worthy for what God is planning next.
